Hints

Megan has a varied little trio of Pokemon. All three of them can evolve once, and are prime-types(they only have one type, even if they evolve). The first two are fairly easy: Elgyem and Cubchoo. They will simply attempt to infatuate your Pokemon right off the bat, so that you'll be stuck using the Status Dice for 5 turns to see if you attack. You can easily wipe out Elgyem with a dark-type Pokemon by using super-effective moves, while his Confusion won't be able to hit you at all. This is the best way against Elgyem, actually, since his Confusion has a chance of confusing the target. Confusion and Infatuation do not go nicely together.

As for Cubchoo, it's easiest to get a fire-type and then quickly wipe her out with some good fire-type moves. It'll help to burn her as well, but it's not necessary to win. The only strategy Cubchoo has, is that it will try to infatuate your Pokemon before pounding it with increasingly-strong Echoed Voice attacks. A combination of TM moves! Your pokemon will be immobilized most of the time while Cubchoo simply keeps gaining power in her attack by repeating it in succession.

Finally, you have to deal with Trubbish. This will probably be the hardest of the three to fight. Her strategy is very annoying, simply because of how fast your Pokemon's HP will be depleted if you give Trubbish the chance to even lay down Toxic Spikes. As soon as your Pokemon is poisoned, Venoshock's power will be doubled to a massive 130 Power Level, fainting your Pokemon fast. But of course, their's a catch to this...When Trubbish is first sent out, Toxic Spikes won't take effect until after Trubbish lays them down, then tries to make you switch Pokemon. During this time, she will try to infatuate you with Attract for an easy defeat just so that you'll send out your next Pokemon for an even easier defeat. To avoid this, it's best to have a steel-type Pokemon, preferably male or genderless. Poison does not affect steel-types, so all Trubbish will be able to do is repeatedly use Attract and Pound, which gives you enough time to hammer her down with strong psychic or ground-type moves since normal-type moves aren't very effective against steel-types.

You can completely rid of most of Megan's strategy by using at least one female for Elgyem and at least one male for the other two.

Well for one you get the badge of course! You also get some other neat stuff.
