Depending on how much HP the Pokemon has, as well as any status conditions, will determine if you catch the Pokemon or not(If you are the Pokemon, you must accept the fact that you knew you were able to be captured and probably would be captured when you made your creation, so don't complain if you're caught).

Master Ball
Captures any Pokemon without fail

Event-Specific Ball(Net Ball/Dusk Ball/Etc)
If the event is active when the Ball is used, the Ball works as an Ultra Ball.
Example: If you use a Dusk Ball in a dark place or at night-time(which is the "event-requirement" for a Dusk Ball), and the Pokemon you are catching has 1/10 of their HP left, you catch the Pokemon because the "event" is active.

If the event if not active when the Ball is used, the Ball works as a regular Pokeball.

Special Ball(GS Ball/Safari Ball/Etc)
GS Ball
Can only be used to capture Celibi or Jirachi without fail.
These can only be obtained by a member once, and only during certain special site events.

Safari Ball
Acts as regular Pokeball, but is the only Ball able to be used in the Safari Zone

Luxary Ball
Regular Pokeball but makes Pokemon caught trust/like you more

Premium Ball
Acts as regular Pokeball, but you get one free from shops when you purchase at least 10 Pokeballs at once :D

Sport Ball
Acts as Great Ball, but only given out during Catching-Contests

Repeat Ball
Acts as Ultra Ball if you have caught he same Pokemon before
Acts as regular Pokeball otherwise

Moon Ball
Acts as Ultra Ball when used on Pokemon of the Nidoran, Clefairy, Jigglypuff or Skitty families.
Acts as a regular Pokeball on anything else

Friend Ball
Acts as Great Ball but makes Pokemon caught trust/like you more

Nest Ball
Fails if the Pokemon is between/equal the levels 100 and/or 90
Acts as Pokeball if the Pokemon is between/equal the levels 89 and/or 60
Acts as Great Ball if the Pokemon is between/equal the levels 59 and/or 30
Acts as Ultra Ball if the Pokemon is between/equal the levels 29 and/or 6
Acts as Master Ball if the Pokemon is between/equal to the levels 5 and/or 1

Heal Ball
Acts as regular Pokeball but Pokemon caught using this are instantly healed afterwards

Quick Ball
Acts as Ultra Ball if used on the first turn in battle
Acts as Pokeball otherwise

Cherish Ball
Extremely rare Pokeball that you can only receive as a prize during "Out-Of-Rp Site Contests" to be used during Role-Play
Can only be used on Legendary Pokemon and acts as an Ultra Ball

Other Info
_________
Snag Ball - These are not used in RP(unless used in a HUGE and APPROVED plot) due to the fact it would be unfair if people's Pokemon were to randomly be taken from them, especially if they worked hard to get him or her.

Dark Ball - Like the Snag Ball, these are not used in RP(unless used in a HUGE and APPROVED plot) because they simply seem to be Master Balls that turn Pokemon into evil, insane slaves for their Trainers. This would be unfair to several other role-players, as well as--most likely--the Pokemon(if played by another member) itself.

"Villain" Ball - Balls such as the Team Magma/Aqua Ball and the Team Rocket Ball will NOT be used, as their functioning is unknown, though they are commonly seen to be regular Pokeballs simply redesigned.

Contest Ball - This refers to the special Pokeballs seen in the anime, such as the Lake Ball and the Fishing Ball. They work just like a regular Pokeball but are used during competitions such as Fishing Contests or Bug-Catching Contests. They are supplied by the Contest Host/Hostess.

Love Ball, Level Ball, Dive Ball, Timer Ball, Heavy Ball, Fast Ball, Dream Ball, and Park Ball - Not used in Rp for they are either "Game-Specific" or too complicated to use.

Safari Zone - In the Safari Zone on here, you can only go when it's open, which is a sort of "mini-event" that occurs randomly every month or so. However, Safari Zones work differently in Rp, where you actually battle the Pokemon to catch it, using Safari Balls only. Normally the Pokemon seen here are rare, so try to attend when you can!

Catching-Contests - Competitions where characters compete in a certain area to catch the most Pokemon using Sport Balls. These competitions do not happen often though you do get to keep the Pokemon you catch during it as well as any left-over Sport Balls. Most of the time, the Pokemon seen in these Contests are rare, so try to attend when you can!

Catching Legendary Pokemon - Only certain Legendary Pokemon can be caught in this Rp, as if wouldn't be fair for anyone if people walked around with Pokemon such as Dialga, controller of time. These few Legendary Pokemon don't have any certain HUGE role(that doesn't mean they're not important) in life, so it is okay to take them along. However, remember that if you catch a Legendary Pokemon, you cannot abandon it, it cannot "die" in any way, and no one will be able to participate in any future events concerning that Pokemon(Example: If one were to catch Meloetta(which you can't), no one would be able to go to the Ancient Underwater Temple or see the Reveal Glass in rp ever again, unless the Trainer released Meloetta(With Admin permission, or if one of the "Special clauses" explained elsewhere in the Rules occurs))

Even so, you can only capture Legendary Pokemon during special site events, as well as the fact that certain Pokemon-Catching rules do not apply, or are bent slightly. Here's the rules of catching Legendary Pokemon:
1. The Legendary Pokemon has to be played by another member
2. The Pokemon has to like you and want to join you
3. The capturing has to be during a certain event, or the Pokemon gets away

Here is the List of Legendary Pokemon you are allowed to capture during certain site events:
Victini
Celibi
Jirachi
Latias & Latios
Deoxys
Shaymin
Genesect
Phione*

*There is question about Phione being a Legendary at all, but it seems the Pokemon Company keeps changing its answers, so for now it stays up there, though it is true that Phione is the only "Legendary" Pokemon that can breed and is relatively useless when it comes to special events(meaning it has no specific goal, like other Legendary Pokemon do).
